Each product category on Emidat comes with a pre-configured methodology — including the relevant PCRs, background datasets, and calculation logic. This methodology is pre-verified once per category with the Program Operators, so when a manufacturer generates an EPD, the framework is already reviewed and approved. As a result, not only is the process from generating an EPD to publishing it significantly shorter — the modeling itself becomes easier and more accessible too.
